The gallery page on this website is a small selection of my photos. It’s just a way of expressing my feelings as a photographer in a more organized way, and to tell the truth, give a more visual effect to this text-haunted website of mine.

I am, and will be publishing my daily pictures in my official BSurprised Photoblog on Aminus3 Community.

Early Days

The story about me and photography is both an old and a new one. I have always been fascinated about cameras and used to play with them a lot, specially in family gatherings. Back at college, I also worked as a “web developer plus” and I was responsible for the faculty website. The plus sign indicates that I was doing everything imaginable to keep the site up and running. You know how faculty budget is, they couldn’t afford more than that. So, I wrote the code and designed the site. This was what I knew how to do, but then came the matter of gathering the news, taking pictures of events and publicity.

That was a lot of work and yet a pleasant coincidence, as I found myself with a camera and actually doing something with it. Of course a crappy little 1.3MP digital camera was a revelation back then. So I started working and took some of my most unprofessional and sadly lost (except for a few) pictures. I have to confess that most of the time I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. Photoblogging Years

In the early days of February, 2007 I was acquainted with photo communities and discovered AM3. It seemed like a friendly place to interact with photography enthusiasts, so I joined and started uploading my photos. Back then, I didn’t have a camera and I was shooting anything I found interesting with my new Nokia 6630.

First published photo

I really don’t know what happened. If it was the warm people, or the inspiring comments, or a fire that finally started after all these years, but I bought a Canon compact camera in a month and an EOS 400D in less than 6 months and I have been photoblogging  ever since. I have published more than 600 images, but in the recent year, it has been hard to catch up with the daily updates. I guess I’m settling down,  but the fire is still burning inside.

I See, Therefore I Am!

“I’m not a pro. I capture what I see, freeze moments, observe.”

This has been my tag-line along the way. I am, by no means, a professional photographer. I just love to capture my moments and share them with the world. Sometimes I can, sometimes I fail to deliver. But I will not filter.
