Add country flags anywhere in your WordPress blog using simple shortcodes and/or widgets, or show visitor country flag and info based on their IP address.
This is the first version of World Flags. This version uses the software77.net ip2country database and only wraps the IPV4 version. The plugin imports the csv file into a mysql table for fast queries. Fetching of the csv IP database can be scheduled weekly using the WP cron jobs, or manually via the plugin options page.

Many people suffer from the issues and restrictions that are politically imposed on them. Sometimes it’s by the government, and sometimes it’s by other countries because of the government. Well, in Iran, it’s both.
An amazingly large number of websites have been filtered in the recent years, there’s the law against large bandwidth usage for home and personal use, the prices for net, hosting, etc. are irrationally high and…. But we are somehow used to that, it’s been a part of our lives for years. My problem today is not this, it’s the second kind of restrictions. It’s you guys who live in other parts of the globe. Seriously, what’s wrong with you? Are you trying to help, or have a plan to make thing even worse.
Seven days ago, while I was on a trip outside Tehran, I received an email notifying me that my hosting service for four active websites has been suspended. I was not notified that I would be suspended, I was suspended already, because the US law prohibits providing services to residents and businesses located in Iran. And I have been struggling for seven days until today, I finally provided an address outside Iran, transferred my account, and managed to bring the websites back to life.

Toshiba Chrystal Zephyr
[one] My father tells the story of how he had purchased this amazing Japanese oscillating desk fan 44 years ago a hundred times. How he and his friend bought two of these for 350 Tomans each, paying 50 Tomans each month. And how this unbelievable piece of machinery has worked all these years without the slightest hesitation.
Off the topic, let me explain that 350 Tomans equals 0.35 USD right now, but it was a reasonably high price back then.
So, the Toshiba Chrystal Zephyr has been in our family for many years. Kids has broken some buttons, the timer hasn’t worked for as long as I remember, but the main engine is still good to go for hours. Basically, my father doesn’t have any use for it these days, but nevertheless, he uses it. It has a cool breeze that reminds me of the hot summer days when I was a child, and we sat together as a family, eating ice cream, and I had this playful moment of waiting for my turn for the breeze to come.

Windows 7 update issue with Wireless performance on Dell laptops is something on my mind these days. I have encountered the problem twice in the past month and it’s as follows:
Once you update your Win7 OS with first packages that Microsoft offers, wireless adapter fails to recognize any access point nearby and nothing seems to solve the issue but a system restore to the state before the updates.
I once encountered this on a trip in Malaysia and then again on an Inspiron 1564 last night.
I’m still searching for a solution. Any ideas!?
More information available upon request.
I’ll keep you posted.
